Reading and Updates

So I'm reading Pride and Prejudice for school and I love it and I love Mr. Darcy I mean who wouldn't??? So yeah that's what I'm reading besides rereading the Lux series by Jennifer Armentrout(for like the fifth time I think...) cause she's an awesome writer if you have or even haven't read her books yet.

Ahhh updates I changed the B.O.W. tab to Weekly Works cause I want to set up posts like Waiting on Wednesday and Swoon Thursday and am just going to put that all in one tab as soon as I set those things up.

If any of you have requests on books/series/authors you want to check up on post posts about them I will cause I know what I like and who I stalk (shhhh) but I don't know what you guys like so if you have anything for leave a comment or something

Thanks and happy reading!!

Allegiant By Veronica Roth Review

So I had pre-ordered Allegiant a long time ago and so I was reading reviews of it on the first day it came out on Amazon and I was like "Why are there so many negative reviews?" And the only thing I came up with after reading the book is that people just didn't like the plot twist and someone even said what that twist was in their review so I had it spoiled for me. But I still really loved the book going in knowing how it was going to end and I loved it. I was crying the last thirty pages of the book and I couldn't stop crying. The book was written beautifully and the end, oh the end...I have realized that Veronica Roth probably doesn't have a heart because honestly if you've read the first two books you realize that she really likes killing characters...I mean really really likes it as you can definitely see in Allegiant. All I'm going to say is that four main characters die in this book...and I'm so heartbroken from the end. It's just a really heartbreaking, emotion twisting book.

Okay now for some of the story... Four/Tobias and Tris are so darn cute in their romance because now they actually have more time to be together. They are sweet and funny and yet they still yell at each other if you've read the previous books you know they do, but they truly are adorable and you can feel their love throughout all the book.
The city though is still kind of messed up though because there are no longer factions so everyone is trying to figure out want to do and this is where you get the Allegiant who are trying to fix the problem which eventually leads to Tris, Tobias, Christina, Tori, Cara, Caleb, and Uriah leaving the city. **SPOILERISH KIND OF ALERT**...out of those names I just listed three of those people die..happy thoughts I know?!?!**END OF ALERT** When they leave, tons of questions get answered from the previous books like how their city came to be, and what it means to be divergent or not divergent, and if there are even people outside of their city etc...

The action is paced right, you don't get bored but keep waiting for events so happen in a good way which makes you keep reading and guessing and making up scenarios until you find out what happens.
Of course bad choices are made by characters and bad things happen and then you want to yell at VR for making bad things happen. I really love those happily ever after endings in books where your OTP(one true pair) or whichever main characters are together actually end up together and the conflict is resolved and everything is fine and dandy... but no that does not happen in Allegiant. Yes the conflict is resolved and stuff but people die and then you die and you are an emotion wreck cause I become really invested in characters and their story and so when anything happens to them I'm a wreck and my family thinks I'm crazy so whatever.
Back to the book...overall I thought it was really well written, the plot was good, my heart was crushed, the characters are still amazing and I cried a lot so yeah it was a great book and I don't see anything wrong with it although I'm always going to imagine a different ending NOT because they book and ending were horrible (I did cry the entire ending) but because I like happy endings and so I'm making it a happy ending in my mind. I give Allegiant 10/10 because I really loved it and it is great and it is the last book in the trilogy so now I'm sad all over again! It's an awesome book just be prepared to cry...a lot... Happy Reading!!!

Riser Review by Becca C Smith

So I actually finished reading the third book (Ripper) in this series called the Riser Saga. Riser is the first book so I decided I'll just write the review on the first book because the whole series is AMAZING!!
Riser is about this girl named Chelsan who sees black swirls on anything dead and she can control anything that is dead and it's really cool. She has been able to do it her whole life and just fyi her grandparents are really evil but she has an awesome mom who I like. Chelsan's best friends are Bill and Nancy and they have really great character developement. Actually all the characters are developed really well. They are funny and great and all different but make wonderful characters to follow. Now Ryan, let's just say I really like Ryan...he's so cute!! Anyways there is a lot of action everywhere in the book. There are attacks, secret "missions" (they aren't spies so I guess secret stuff happens...) there is love and friendship and so much more that I can't spoil (like who dies, who is on which side, who has what powers, who is going to get hurt ya know the usual in stories!!) You do meet others that have powers who may or may not be good (even after the third book I'm still iffy on who really is evil family wise) Oh I forgot to mention that this is in the future where the people have created this age-pro thing that keeps people from aging so all in all they live forever unless they are killed but in this world no one likes to fight cause they all just want to live and they do have a lot of better technology in their world. Overall this book is awesome and the series is really good. I really hope there are more books after the third book cause it is a saga and I don't want the awesomeness to stop.ever. and it is a really good series and the ebooks are really cheap on Amazon so get them.  I give this book/series 5/5 black swirls which totally makes more sense if you read the book which you all should do!!
P.S. I'm currently 85% through this book The Bane (The Eden Trilogy) by Keary Taylor so I'll have a review coming up for that and after that book another review for this series called Feudlings (Fate on Fire) which I just ADORE!!! Happy Reading!!!

The Selection by Kiera Cass Review

This past week I also read The Selection by Kiera Cass. It is the first book in the trilogy with the second book already out.
I give it 5/5 tiaras. The story is about how when a prince is of age 35 girls are selected from around the kingdom to participate in The Selection where the prince (Prince Maxon) chooses one to be his wife.
In the society that America (the main character) lives there is a caste system - One's being at the top and Eight's being at the bottom. America is a five so her family is an artisict one where they paint and sing and play for a living. America has been dating Aspen for two years but he is six and I think when you marry you move into the guys caste..anyways Aspen asks America to put her name in the drawing for the selection because she could have a better life and the week before "winners" are announced Aspen breaks up with America because he loves her so much he wouldn't want to make move to a lower caste (sounds romantic yeah?!?) yeah well I wouldn't really like that but anyways America is chosen and starts to actually kinds like Prince Maxon and I adore him and totally think America should get over Aspen and go for Maxon cause he is awesome but then there is a plot twist and I'm like NOOOOO!! But before this the interaction between America and Maxon is so cute and America even makes a friend who I love as well(sorry forgot her name and am too lazy to go find my book and look it up!!) the plot is very well down and the characters are as well and the book is just great. The book does kinda end not abruptly per say but yeah it doesnt end with a huge conclusion but that's okay and understandable once you read the book...which you should if you haven't. It was a very enjoyable read and so go and enjoy it!!!

House of Hades by Rick Riordin Review

So I read House of Hades this past week as well and I loved it!!
House of Hades is book 4 in the House of Olympus Series.
I give it 5/5 demigod stars!! So in the book there are alternating points of view between the 7 chosen characters of the prophesy (Percy, Annabeth, Hazel, Jason, Leo, Frank, and Piper)
Now that may seem like a lot but it isn't. If you've read the other books then it makes more sense especially since... *SPOILER ALERT*...Percy and Annabeth are in Tartarus... *END OF SPOILER*
Also the book is about 600 pages long so there is action in everywhere and the switching POVs don't confuse you at all. The characters are amazing considering what they have to go through. Some of the characters discover new abilities(they are demigods of course) and more of the prophesy starts to make sense and can I just say I love Nico and have throughout all the books but I feel like when this one part is revealed in the book, his character seems a little..downgraded, messed up...just because it doesn't seem to fit with Nico's previous state of character in the books before. Anyways there are new gods and goddesses you meet - some evil, some funny, some that are just weird. New friends are made even though said friends are giants and titans and a skeleton cat(who I love). You even see old characters and can I just say LEO!!! The poor guy I love him and I swear he's going to die in the last book but I don't want him too cause I want him to have a happy ending with this one girl*cough goddess* which makes more sense if you read. This story was really well written is set up in a good way for the very last book which is called Blood of Olympus which comes out next year...so yeah great book great series and you all should read them!!

United We Spy by Ally Carter Review

So I read this book this past week and gosh I loved it! I love the Gallagher Girls Series and United We Spy is the sixth and final book to this series. Off to the review...
I give it 5/5 kickbutt points...I give the whole series this rating... The characters are Zach, Cammie, Bex, Liz, and Macey. They are all spies and in this book they are all trying to find the major leaders of this corrupted spy group called the circle which they have known about for awhile but need to find the leaders because they are trying to start something major but someone is hunting them and there is just a ton of chaos that needs to be solved.
Now the characters are all pretty awesome. Zach and Cammie are soooo freaking cute you gotta love them. Bex, Liz, and Macey are all best friends including Cammie and Bex is British and Liz has a photographic memory and Macey is just Macey. They are all awesome characters but of course you know this if you've already read the whole series.
The plot is my favorite (along with so many of the other books..I love them all) and there is a ton of action and so much suspense that it keeps you on your toes and since this is the last books it is hard  not to spoil the other books grrr but anyways this series is just so amazing and lovable and just amazing I don't know what else to say and the ending is well down as well..sooo now go read this sersies cause you won't regret it...I love it and everyone should read it and love it as well!!Now go pick up this series...the first book is called I'd Tell You, but Then I'd Have To Kill You
